Houston
Interior and exterior painting plus drywall hanging, texture, and repair across Houston, from the East End bungalows to the newer builds outside the loop.
WAR Construction works out of Satsuma Street in Houston's East End, which means most of the city is a short drive rather than a scheduling problem. We paint inside and out and we hang, tape, float, and repair drywall — often on the same job, so nobody has to coordinate two companies around one room.
Houston housing stock is unusually mixed, and each era brings its own problem. Pre-war bungalows in the East End and the Heights have shiplap and settled plaster that needs proper patching before a roller ever touches it. Mid-century ranches south and west of the loop tend to have textured ceilings hiding old water stains. Newer construction outside the loop usually just needs sharp lines and a coating rated for the sun it actually gets.
Foundation movement is the other constant here. Houston's clay soil opens the same corner cracks in the same places every dry summer, so on drywall repairs we look at why the crack formed before we tape it — otherwise the repair reopens the following August.
